Well project delayed by slow EGLE approvals and unfinished electrical design, Hillman staff say

Rivard said she needs both EGLE approval and the completed electrical plans before submitting materials to the grant committee. She reported that if drilling extends into the school calendar the contract will include caveats for weekend work to minimize interference with school activities. Rivard said she hopes to obtain bids in the next few weeks, to get two wells drilled this year and to replace Well 7 next year.
No formal vote was recorded on the well project during the meeting; the council received the update and recorded next steps in the minutes.
