County administration presented the May designee list of contracts and requested ratification; the board approved the designee ratification by roll call. The designee list included multiple contracts and purchase orders across departments (prison yard extension, election delivery services, bridge maintenance, mowing contracts, HVAC service, and others).
Finance staff also reported three informational budget adjustments for the current year: $150 for the Commissioners’ Office (outstanding invoice for meetings), $2,350 for the Prison to cover travel expenses for correction officer school, and $115,000 for the Office of Senior Services to cover materials and supplies.
On behalf of Drug & Alcohol, the board considered a supplemental budget appropriation resolution #2026‑11 totaling $398,661; Commissioner Barron Hetherington moved and Commissioner Gary Hess seconded approval. A roll call vote recorded Padora, Hetherington and Hess as “yes,” carrying the resolution unanimously (3–0). The board recorded immediate approval for the supplemental appropriation.
