The Wapello County Board of Supervisors approved multiple routine resolutions and administrative actions during its meeting, including a fiscal year 25-26 budget amendment, authorizations for group insurance and payroll, and an annual allocation for the Food Bank of Iowa.
During a public hearing, the board approved Resolution 24-26 (budget amendment No. 3 for FY25-26) after a brief comment about a conservation line item that staff said related to campground electrical repairs. Supervisors then approved other measures: Resolution 26-26 allocating rent for court administration among 13 counties, authorization to pay group insurance premiums for FY26-27, and delegations to the auditor to pay claims and personnel salaries for FY26-27. Staff noted the county is moving to electronic payments through Iowa State Bank to reduce check processing.
The board approved a $25,000 annual allocation to the Food Bank of Iowa for food boxes, an increase from $20,000 paid the prior three years. Several personnel actions and salary adjustments for secondary roads foremen and other county employees were also approved after staff explained corrections to prior salary calculations.
The transcript records approvals by voice vote; detailed roll-call tallies were not included.
