The Fremont City Council held first readings on four ordinances that would set utility rates for 2026 and 2027: Ordinance 5743 (electric), Ordinance 5744 (natural gas), Ordinance 5745 (sewer) and Ordinance 5746 (water).
Each ordinance was taken on first reading by unanimous vote and the City Clerk provided the readings required by ordinance procedure. The minutes show no public comment or debate on the rate ordinances at the June 30 meeting; all votes to hold first reading passed 7–0 with Councilmember Marsh absent.
As first readings, these measures have not been adopted; further readings or public notices would be required before any rate changes take effect. The minutes do not include rate tables or estimated revenue impacts.
