Water board hears updates on wells, Sky Ranch tank and treatment-plant connections

Staff member (Speaker 5) reported North Pond work is complete with slide gates poured and that electrical sequencing must finish before filling. On wells, Speaker 5 described drilling progress at Sky Ranch and other sites — crews are using progressively larger bits (18", then 26", then 36") with plans to reach deeper zones and said a glass-bead pack will replace silica sand in some casings to improve filtration.
On water quality, Speaker 5 said one newly tapped source tested with a total dissolved solids reading of about 240, much lower than other local supplies (he cited values of about 700 for other sources and roughly 2,000 in Gould's Wash) and said the lower-TDS source "is drinking water" while Gould's Wash would serve as secondary (nonpotable) water.
Board members discussed operational matters including pump and booster usage, where treated wastewater could be discharged, and the district's role in shifting water among nearby cities. No formal actions were recorded; members asked staff to continue coordinating with district engineers and to report back on pumping tests and sequencing.
