Byram officials report Hemlock Road soil responsibility, Tilcon operations and Rt. 206 planning

Township Manager Joseph Sabatini updated Byram Township Council on local infrastructure and public-works matters at the April 1 meeting, saying the removal of soil on Hemlock Road is the responsibility of the property owner and that the entities involved have been identified in other complaints.
Sabatini reported that work has begun on C.O. Field 8 and that the field will be closed to residents until the project is expected to finish in late May 2025. He also reminded residents of a free rabies clinic scheduled April 5 at the Department of Public Works garage.
The manager said Tilcon will operate in the township this summer, bringing a crusher to a site and expecting to perform about 68 small blasts. Council discussed early planning for Rt. 206 paving; the project is at the early-planning stage and will replace crosswalks with high-visibility markings. Councilman Roseff asked that a letter be sent to project contacts to address a concern at the Forest Lakes entrance.
The updates were informational; no formal action or funding decisions for these projects were recorded at the April 1 meeting.
