Sharon Historic District Commission keeps budget line, schedules March hearings

The Town of Sharon Historic District Commission addressed administrative matters and scheduling at its Feb. 24, 2026 meeting.
Chairman John Baroody proposed keeping budget line item e. at $2,500 for fiscal year 2026–27; commissioners present agreed. Baroody noted that the salary for the commission secretary is a matter for the Board of Selectmen to determine. The minutes of the November meeting "stood approved as posted."
The commission accepted an application from the Sharon Housing Trust and the Town for renovations to 99 North Main Street and scheduled the hearing for March 23, 2026. The motion to accept the application for hearing was moved by Steve Szalewicz, seconded by Theo Coloumbe and passed "all in favor."
Commissioners were reminded to complete the Plan of Conservation & Development (POCD) survey available on the town website and in paper form. The meeting was adjourned at 5:42 p.m. via a motion of Szalewicz/Hall, passed "all in favor."
