The Louisa County Board of Supervisors voted March 16 to amend land‑development regulations to add seven parcels totaling 79.786 acres to the Taylor’s Creek Agricultural and Forestal District in the Jackson voting district.
Staff explained the amendment and noted the agricultural and forestal district and planning commission had recommended approval. A family representative from the Stanley family spoke in favor, saying the designation helps preserve the rural character of their property and supports long‑term stewardship. Supervisor Williams moved to approve the ordinance amendment for his district; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board briefly recessed during the public hearing to allow additional speakers and returned to approve the amendment. Staff noted the amendment had been considered by the ag and forestal committee and the planning commission and that a family representative was present to answer questions.
The ordinance amendment passed with no recorded opposition.
