The council also approved a permit for the Clarke Homecoming Parade on a motion by Jose Vargas, seconded by Dan Hooper; Councilmember George Fotiadis voted nay and the remaining members voted aye, and the permit passed.
Council voted to move the Oct. 15 meeting to Oct. 22 and to change the Nov. 5 meeting to Nov. 12 on a motion by George Fotiadis and seconded by Dan Hooper; the motion carried. City Administrator Ty Wheeler provided project updates; City Clerk Britanee Ward and Police Chief Marty Duffus reported no items.
The consent agenda listed claims and a fund recap; the grand total of payments was $489,047.52. Notable line items included Veenstra & Kimm ($82,195.78) and Wellmark (City health insurance) ($75,028.25). The consent motion was moved by George Fotiadis and seconded by Sonya Hicks and passed on roll call.
