West Whiteland Planning Commission elects new chair and vice‑chair; approves December minutes

The West Whiteland Township Planning Commission held its annual reorganization at the Jan. 6 meeting and elected Keith Choper as chair and Denise Jones as vice‑chair.
Denise Jones moved to nominate Choper as chair, seconded by Dan Cote; the motion was unanimously approved and Jones yielded the chair. Dan Cote moved to nominate Jones as vice‑chair, seconded by Virginia Kerslake; that motion was also unanimously approved.
Planning Director John Weller advised the commission that the Township Solicitor prefers minutes be approved by formal motion and vote. The commission approved the Dec. 2, 2025 minutes as presented on a motion by Jones, seconded by Kerslake; the vote passed 4‑0‑2, with Priyanka Gupta and Keith Choper recorded as abstaining because they had not attended the Dec. 2 meeting. No members of the public spoke during public comment and no new plans were presented.
The meeting adjourned at 8:16 p.m.
