Board announces Garden Walk, utility advisory and approves block party request

Board members also relayed a request from utility KMED asking residents to reduce electricity usage during high demand to avoid brownouts; trustees urged residents to run major appliances during off-peak hours and to raise thermostats where feasible to help reduce demand.
The clerk reported receipt of a block-party request for Saturday, Aug. 15, for the 144th block of Colon signed by three residents who requested visits from police and fire; the deputy clerk will send an approval letter.
