The Hicksville Village Council on Monday completed the final reading and adopted Resolution 2025-16 to amend the Village of Hicksville investment policy.
Solicitor Avery Demland read the resolution by caption only. Toni Egly moved to approve the resolution and Charlie Martin seconded. Council members Egly, Ron Beverly, Kent Miller and Charlie Martin voted in favor; Rob Bailey abstained. The motion carried and the resolution was adopted as read; the transcript does not record a reason for the abstention.
The amendment was presented as a final reading; the meeting record does not provide the text of the changes to the investment policy nor an effective date. Council took no further action at the meeting to implement or publicize the amended policy beyond adoption on final reading.
The council also approved routine financial business earlier in the meeting, including minutes and payment of bills by unanimous voice votes.
