Bayonne School District trustees heard details of two new agenda items for summer programming and tutoring.
A board member told trustees that the full agenda had been distributed and that two new items — C14 (a summer program) and C15 (hiring tutors to assist teachers implementing the program) — required a quick turnaround. The program was described as running from July through August and the speaker credited "doctor Degnan" for organizing it on short notice. The speaker said the effort is "fully funded through the high impact tutoring bag" and referenced draft 02/1934.
Trustees asked no substantive questions during the open workshop on those two items. The board said it would move forward with scheduling and will consider the items as part of the August meeting materials if further detail is needed.
Separately, a scheduled presentation from a technology company was postponed and rescheduled for the August meeting, the speaker told trustees.
