Select Board approves annual appointments, signs Shared Animal Control IMA and greenlights HR software review

The Select Board approved a slate of annual appointments covering town financial officers, inspectors, committee members and other roles. The motion to approve the list was made by Kathleen Keresey, seconded by Toby Casey, and approved unanimously. Appointees named in the minutes include Town Accountant Elaine Markham, Town Treasurer Ben Gelb, Building Inspector Brian DuVal, and numerous inspectors and committee members as listed in the official record.
Town Administrator Marie Y. Ryan asked the board to approve and sign a Shared Animal Control Intermunicipal Agreement; she said Town Counsel Tim Zessin had reviewed and approved the contract. Kathleen Keresey moved, Andy Krouss seconded, and the board voted to approve and sign the IMA.
Select Board member Toby Casey reported he had reviewed a demonstration of a human-resources software package that would centralize employee time-off tracking and personnel records and that the software would cost about $350 per month. Casey recommended the town implement the software and asked permission to work with Ryan on review and setup. Board members Andy Krouss and Kathleen Keresey agreed that Casey should proceed with further work.
The minutes record approvals and agreements but do not detail contract terms, implementation schedules, or funding sources for the HR software subscription; those items will require further administrative follow-up and budget review if pursued.
