West Stockbridge can reapply for state EV charging grant; town must provide updated W-9

Volunteer and Vision Committee member Joe Roy told the Select Board that East Coast Renewable Energy notified him that state grant funding for electric-vehicle charging stations is once again available.
Roy said the town can reuse much of the previous application materials and that the only immediate administrative requirement is an updated W-9 form. He said the town would have no contractual obligation beyond the standard grant terms and that, if the grant is awarded, the town would commit to keep the charging stations in service for five years. "There is no commitment required by the Town, except for the need to pave the parking lot at the old Town Hall," Roy said, describing that paving as work the public-works director had already proposed.
Roy asked the board for permission to work with James McGrath of East Coast Renewable Energy to reapply; the Select Board authorized him to proceed and to return with updates. If awarded, the town will need to confirm a funding plan for any required paving and installation work before final acceptance of the grant.
