Daggett County MBA approves $64,393.39 Spectra purchase for access-control at community health facility

The Daggett County Municipal Building Authority approved a $64,393.39 purchase order to vendor Spectra to provide keypads, cameras, intercoms and a managed access-control component for the Daggett County Health and Community Center.

A staff member explained that Spectra issued a revised quote with different verbiage and a different quote number but said the line items and the total amount remained the same. "This covers all the keypads and the corresponding cameras that help those keypads work as well as the intercoms for after hour services around the exterior doors," the staff member said, describing the equipment and the managed access-control features that will be integrated with the county—s current IT system. The staff member said the configuration was developed in coordination with Cordell Cordell, the IT director.

A committee member moved to approve the purchase request dated March 13, 2026, and the Chair seconded the motion. The board voted by voice, with the Chair and the moving member recorded as saying "Aye," and the motion carried.

The staff member said the quote will convert into a claim for reimbursement and that the county—s portion of the project included maintaining low-voltage installation and access control in-house to reduce costs. The revised quote substituted the name "Daggett County Health and Community Center" for an earlier facility name on the document, which the staff member said prompted the new quote number but did not change the substantive pricing or equipment list.

Next steps: staff will finalize the purchase order paperwork with Spectra and proceed with procurement and installation coordination with the county IT director.
