Daggett County Municipal Building Authority approves transformer purchase, pays Patriot Construction invoice for Dutch John water plant

At its Jan. 27 meeting the Daggett County Municipal Building Authority approved a $49,439 purchase request and sole-source finding for electrical service and a transformer for the Daggett County Health Business and Community Center, authorized payment of a Patriot Construction invoice of $228,570.76 for the Dutch John water treatment plant, and accepted routine financial reports.
The Daggett County Municipal Building Authority on Tuesday approved a purchase request to Bridger Valley Electric Association for electrical service and a transformer for the Daggett County Health Business and Community Center in the amount of $49,439. Chair moved and the board approved the purchase request and an accompanying sole-source finding that the supplier is the only electrical provider in the area.
Staff member told the board that “our electrical provider requires payment upfront before they can schedule or do any work.” The board approved the purchase request and the notation that the payment is reflected on the invoice register.
Members also approved the open invoice register, which included a $228,570.76 invoice from Patriot Construction LLC for work on the Dutch John water treatment plant. Committee member stated, "The other item is for Patriot Construction LLC in the amount of $228,570.76." The board recorded approval of the register; the total open-invoice figure discussed was $278,009.76.
The authority acknowledged receipt of the cash summary and accounts receivable report as of Jan. 23, 2026, and approved the disbursement summary covering Jan. 13–23, 2026 in the amount of $3,403.18.
Staff described a small change order for the Daggett County Health Business and Community Center to convert space under a stairwell into sealed storage requiring double FireX layers and some lighting and access-door work. The board accepted the change-order discussion and continued coordination on site logistics; Committee member said the water connection work is expected to be finished Saturday and raised parking-lot tie-in mitigation needs.
The board set a construction meeting for the health/community center on Thursday at 10 a.m., noted a recurring Saturday water outage during construction, and adjourned at 9:54 a.m.
Actions recorded at the meeting include formal approvals of the Bridger Valley Electric purchase request and sole-source finding, authorization of payment on the open invoice register (including the Patriot Construction invoice), acknowledgement of financial reports, and approval of the disbursement summary.
