Staff reports water hookup, electric service and ongoing elevator repairs at Daggett County municipal building

At a Feb. 3, 2026 meeting of the Daggett County Municipal Building Authority, a staff member reported that contractors tied the new municipal building’s water connection into the system over the weekend and are now working on the internal water line. "They made connection on the — tied the water connection into the system Saturday," the staff member said.

The staff member also said Bridge Valley Electric has begun work to bring service to the building, and that crews expect the electrical connection to be complete by the end of the week. "They've also started the service from Bridge Valley Electric in that new building ... It should be at the end of the week," the staff member reported.

Authority members discussed scheduling a brief follow-up meeting with an outside contact about the business and community center; members agreed the meeting should be short to fit other obligations.

On elevator work, the staff member said contractors have started waterproofing and expressed continued concern about its reliability. The staff member said the contractor "assured" them the elevator "works," but noted a pending verification: "They did shut the pump off and the water didn't show like it was," the staff member said, adding that assurances remained provisional.

Despite the elevator concern, staff told the Authority that work on the remainder of the municipal building is progressing. The meeting record shows members heard these updates and had no further substantive public comment on construction items.
