Denton schedules annual radium testing, begins radio‑read water meter rollout

During the Jan. 6 meeting maintenance lead Blackledge reported that lagoon discharge is complete, downtown street lights are operating on a sensor, and he distributed a spreadsheet of maintenance tasks and photos of new storage racks in the shop.
Blackledge said water meter software has been installed and that Ross will receive training to install radio‑read meters, beginning with the oldest meters. The board reached consensus to test raw radium levels yearly after Blackledge presented the results.
Trustees also discussed obtaining quotes for street striping and reviewed the unwritten snow removal policy (currently crews blade after about 3 inches of snow), with the chair authorized to adjust operational policy until any board decision is made. No formal motions altering maintenance policy were recorded.
