The Village of Denton Board of Trustees approved several procurement and payment actions at its Sept. 10 meeting.
Trustee John Juricek moved to accept a bid from ARB for traffic-control signs, barricades and supplies totaling $5,275.78; Trustee Trent Whealty seconded and the motion "carried." Trustee Doug Rosekrans moved, and Trustee Whealty seconded, approval of a $750 bid from Lincoln Underground Sprinkler to move and repair sprinklers; that motion carried. Trustee Amanda Fangmeier moved to purchase a Lazer Z X-Series 72" mower from Crete Ace Hardware for $15,599.00; Trustee Rosekrans seconded and the motion carried.
The board approved Claims List A for $4,543.63 and Claims List B for $13,092.90, and authorized August payroll totaling $8,461.42 after a motion by John Juricek, seconded by Amanda Fangmeier; the motion carried. Minutes do not record individual roll-call votes, only that motions "carried."
Separately, trustees appointed Joe Hobelman and Doug Rosekrans to conduct employee evaluations, tentatively scheduled for Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. The minutes show the board reached consensus to obtain an additional bid on facility locks before taking further action on the Mattice Lock proposal.
