Local attorney asks commission to consider LMO amendments to enable hotel-to-workforce housing conversions

Williams said he drafted proposed revisions after work with a hotel-conversion applicant (Blue Hour Housing) and discussions with town staff. He said discussions earlier in the process indicated the LMO rewrite would address the issue, but that he has not seen language on hotel conversion in the materials provided to date. Williams asked commissioners to accept copies of his proposed revisions so they can be reviewed during the current LMO amendment season.
The chair asked Williams to provide copies to the commission secretary for distribution. The request was presented as a public comment and did not prompt immediate action by the commission; Williams said he will provide the materials.
