SCDOT district briefed committee on seven resurfacing routes and portfolio totalling $59 million

Tracy said Coobarth Road in Agnes Major will receive a 10-inch CMRB, while Fish Hall Road, Duke Street, Caligny Circle and Forest Beach Drive are planned as milling and overlay treatments. Okeetee Highway and several high-traffic roads will require milling and overlay work done under lane or nighttime restrictions.
Tracy said Fortin Island Road work was delayed due to low temperatures; APAC will push the start to Sunday for full-depth patching. An earlier estimate for one project had been about 33,000 square yards, but field inspection suggested approximately 5,000 square yards will be required and the work is expected to take one to two weeks. For Castle Hall Road, staff described a damaged 1920s/1930s concrete bed with 2 inches of asphalt that requires more substantial reconstruction; APAC proposed deploying 6 inches of intermediate structure with a surface course so no additional funds above the contract value would be needed by shifting square yards among contract items.
Tracy also highlighted an Old Shell Road sidewalk improvement (a $300,000 project) and noted that about 13 projects have been closed out in the last four months. When asked about the total program, Tracy confirmed the overall contract amount for the listed projects is $59,000,000 and said several closed projects came in under budget by nearly $1,000,000.
