The Lower Saucon Township Board of Supervisors approved two consortium fuel contracts at its July 1 meeting.
For the No. 2 home-heating oil consortium contract, the board reviewed letters noting an award to Wilson of Wallingford and discussed the per-gallon price reported in the materials and at the meeting (a figure read during discussion was $59.87 per gallon). Board members discussed the option of remaining in the consortium versus procuring independently; after discussion a motion to approve the award — with staff to continue coordinating with consortium members — was moved, seconded and carried.
The board also voted to approve the 2026–2027 consortium fuel contract to SJ Fuel South Company. Staff explained that the SJ Fuel South agreement uses a daily-average price structure rather than a fixed base price. The motions carried by voice vote; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript.
