Family Adventure Day set for April 11 in Montello with booths, train ride and free ice cream

Melissa (Mel) Hodges, public health technician, briefed the Board on Family Adventure Day, a free community event scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Montello High School. Hodges said past attendance has ranged from about 300 to 400 people; for this year 22–25 booths have registered, 11 sponsors have committed, and several local businesses have donated prizes.
Planned activities include free food, face painting, balloon animals, a small train ride (new this year) and free ice cream provided by the Marquette County Farm Bureau. The event is organized by county staff with support from local organizations and businesses; no admission fee will be charged.
The Board received the update for planning purposes; minutes note no formal action was required.
