CAP Services board accepts resignations, seats new members and approves consent agenda including 2026 plans

Chair Brett Jarman called the meeting to order and the board accepted the resignation of a board member effective Feb. 1, 2026. The board seated Laura Scherwinski as Head Start Policy Council Representative through Dec. 2026 and approved the seating of Ashley Kluge as a Waushara County community representative (term through Dec. 31, 2028), contingent on SBA approval and appointment to several committees.
Board members recorded several actions that were previously approved by email, including the 2026–2028 Affirmative Action Plan and an updated 2026 Employee Handbook. The board approved a contract related to the Rural Prosperity Task Force for $50,000 and corrected prior minutes as noted. The board also reviewed lower-than-expected fundraising results from the annual report campaign and tasked staff to evaluate donor engagement strategies for 2026.
CEO N. Harrison reported a 100% score on 2025 organizational standards for the Federal CSBG and described upcoming audits and partnerships. The board confirmed plans for a 60th‑anniversary fundraising event on May 21, 2026 and community open houses in Waupaca and Wautoma tied to board meetings.
