The Lamont City Council on June 10 approved a slate of routine administrative measures, including certification of delinquent city service bills to be collected via property tax assessment and adoption of employee wages for fiscal year 2027.
Councilmember Lincoln moved and Councilmember Adams seconded certification of delinquent city service bills; the motion passed with all present voting aye and was recorded as Resolution 26-19. Councilmember Adams moved and Councilmember Lincoln seconded adoption of Resolution 26-20 to set employee wages for FY27; the resolution passed with Councilmembers Lamphier, Slack, Lincoln and Adams voting aye. Specific wage figures were not read into the meeting record.
The council also approved a cigarette sales permit application for McDermott Oil, doing business as Quick & Handi III; a Class C liquor license with Sunday sales and outdoor service area(s) for The Alibi; and an ownership update affecting McDermott Oil’s Class C beer, Class B native wine and Class E liquor permits. Councilmember Lamphier moved each of those measures; motions were seconded and carried unanimously.
Separately, the council approved releasing demolition reserve funds for 705 Washington Street. The meeting adjourned at 7:21 p.m.
