At the June 30 meeting the board accepted the Village of Hinsdale's annual comprehensive financial report and management letter for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2025. Trustee B summarized the auditor's work and reported that Sikitch provided a clean opinion and found no material weaknesses. Trustee B told the board that revenues exceeded budgeted amounts by $3.6 million and expenses were under budget by $2.1 million, leaving a fund balance of 49% of operating expenses.
The board voted to accept the audit, the allocation report for Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund amounts, and the consolidated year-end financial report. Trustees thanked staff for their work on the audit and noted the village will submit the report for a certificate of achievement in financial reporting.
