Public works report: Brandon (county roads staff) said crews switched to a 10‑hour schedule — 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday — to improve efficiency. He reported chloride application, ditch cleaning and shoulder work, crossroad tube repairs, hauling rock, and efforts to shore up road edges after winter. Brandon said he expects to schedule a letting date soon for the Rockwell building project after receiving final drawings, and that fence work on an Illinois property will likely require a survey to locate property corners. Equipment item #39 has a PTO issue but remains operational for hauling.
Manure management and other items: The board reviewed a manure management filing, recommended it for DNR filing and approved it by voice vote.
Closed session: The board voted to enter closed session pursuant to "Iowa Code section 21.51C" to discuss strategy regarding matters in litigation or where litigation is imminent; the clerk called the roll and members answered in the affirmative. The meeting recessed into closed session and later reconvened only to adjourn.
