The Hobart City Redevelopment Authority set the unsafe‑building order for the property at 312 North Canton Street over to the April 1 meeting after staff reported the owner had obtained building permits and is working to resolve a stop‑work order while securing a licensed plumber. The motion to continue the matter to allow the owner an opportunity to demonstrate substantial compliance passed on a voice vote.
The board also approved a list of downtown food and beverage vendors to participate in a city program through Oct. 31, authorizing locations such as Burkhos Bari Grill, Montego Bay Grill, Rangers at the Clock Tower and several coffee houses. A board member moved to approve all items on that list and set their approvals through Oct. 31.
Separately, staff recommended approving a $43,000 contract with 1st Group of Engineers to prepare bid documents and plans for the city’s CCMG streets grant application so paving and restoration work can be put out to bid when grant funds are awarded. The motion to approve moving forward with the engineering agreement was made and seconded.
