The Byram Township Council unanimously approved a consent agenda Dec. 16 that bundled routine administrative actions, contracts and program authorizations.
Items listed on the agenda included acceptance of a Kenwood digital mobile radio from the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Management; continuation of the 2025/2026 Byram Ski Program under volunteer advisors; authorization for Navitend to provide managed services not to exceed $54,479.12; a waiver of the roadway moratorium to permit Elizabethtown Gas work on multiple streets; appointment of fund commissioner for 2026; custodial contract authorization; budget transfers and several cancellations of receivables, accounts payable and unexpended balances; procurement authorizations (including rock salt under the Sussex County Cooperative Pricing System); and other routine items.
Councilwoman Franco moved and Councilman Proctor seconded the motion to enact the consent agenda in one vote; members present voted to approve the package. The bill list for Dec. 16, 2025 was also approved in a separate motion.
Most consent-agenda items were described on the meeting agenda but not read in full during open session; specific contract documents, detailed award amounts (beyond those shown on the agenda such as the Navitend amount) and vendor paperwork were not included in the open-session transcript.
