Commissioners noted the largest single recent invoice was the final solar installation charge (discussed in the meeting at about $388,578). The board voted to approve payment by voice vote; no roll-call tally was recorded in the meeting transcript.
Authorized solicitor negotiations: The board voted to authorize the township solicitor to negotiate a settlement agreement with Charter Homes to remediate unauthorized stormwater management facilities and a paved trail that were installed in the Tatterol open-space lot (OSL‑1). The solicitor said the corrective work would include remediating stormwater issues and amending a prior litigation settlement tied to that development.
Tolman Street stay extension: The board approved an extension of the enforcement stay on the Tolman Street slope appeal until Sept. 30 to allow the Orchard Glenn HOA time to submit a planting/remediation plan. One commissioner recused from the vote due to HOA membership.
Natural Lands map revision: After public concern about small parcels and properties already under county programs appearing on the posted opportunities map, commissioners authorized Natural Lands to revise the map to remove parcels under 10 acres, to distinctly mark county ACE/ASA-protected lands and township parks, and to research deed records as needed within the consultant’s contract limits.
Administrative: The board voted to change the Board of Commissioners meeting scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 5 to Monday, Aug. 3.
What the votes mean: The motions set the immediate program workstreams (map revision, solicitor negotiations and a timetable for revised referendum language and financial estimates); none of these votes by themselves enact the preservation program or change taxes — a referendum and any enabling ordinance would need separate actions if voters approve them.
