Township Engineer Nicholas Szeredai reported that borings at 574 Gravel Pike for the Hazard Mitigation Grant project showed favorable conditions but require expanded grading and stabilization using turf reinforcing matting and live stakes. He recommended a change order to Davidheiser Construction Services not to exceed $15,000 to cover the additional work; the board approved the authorization 5-0, subject to township manager and engineer approval.
Manager Cecile Daniel reported that Peter Simone filed a MONTCO 2040 Implementation Grant application for Highland-Huber Park; the available grant amount was revised upward to $250,000 and Daniel recommended approval of Resolution 2025-12 to authorize submitting the application, which the board approved 5-0.
Both actions are intended to keep grant-funded projects moving: the change order permits necessary design adjustments after borings, and the resolution advances the park’s grant application process.
