Perkiomen supervisors adopt ordinance raising annual compensation cap

By motion and a unanimous vote the board adopted Ordinance No. 244, which updates the township’s compensation cap from $2,500 per year to a maximum of $4,190 per year. The solicitor was authorized to make any necessary minor corrections to the ordinance prior to finalization.
The change implements a state law adjustment; the board did not record any public comments on the ordinance during the meeting. The ordinance was advertised as authorized at the January meeting and carried on the Feb. 4 vote.
