Supervisors approve ground lease, mowing license and intermunicipal sewer agreement; appoint Erin Conlen to Planning Commission

Perkiomen Township supervisors on Dec. 3 authorized several property and intermunicipal items and made one commission appointment.
Solicitor Kenneth Picardi described a proposed one‑year ground lease between Perkiomen Township and Ryan Lehman for roughly three acres at 182 Trappe Road — land the township purchased under the Open Space Act that Mr. Lehman has farmed for several years. The lease provides for automatic one‑year renewals unless terminated on 60 days’ notice and carries a nominal annual rent of twenty‑five dollars. The Board authorized the solicitor to send the proposed Lease to Mr. Lehman for his review (motion passed 4‑0).
Picardi also presented a signed License Agreement permitting the owner of 17 Wartman Road to mow and maintain a portion of township property at 19 Wartman Road. The Board approved the License Agreement (motion by Dean Becker, second by Albert Campion; vote 4‑0).
Manager Cecile M. Daniel reported that the Perkiomen Township Municipal Authority approved an Intermunicipal Agreement with Upper Providence Township to cross‑connect sewer service for five properties located on Wartman Road: two in Perkiomen and three in Upper Providence. Sewage from those properties will discharge to the Lower Perkiomen Valley Regional Sewer Authority treatment plant in Oaks. The Board approved the Intermunicipal Agreement by unanimous vote.
On a separate personnel matter, the Board appointed Erin Conlen to complete the remainder of Stuart Ozer’s term on the Planning Commission through Dec. 31, 2025; the appointment passed 4‑0.
