Artisan Land’s Landis Tract preliminary approval delayed after extension to April 5

Jackie Erixxon of Artisan Land Company presented a preliminary subdivision and land development plan for the Landis Tract along Bucher Road/Centennial Street under Perkiomen Township’s Open Space Residential (OSR) overlay. Assistant Solicitor Richard Almquist told the board Artisan submitted a written extension moving the decision deadline from March 5 to April 5, 2025 so the company could review the proposed Resolution 2025-11 and allow attorneys time to address remaining issues. The board acknowledged the extension rather than approve the resolution at the March 4 meeting.
Township Solicitor Kenneth Picardi and Assistant Solicitor Almquist said there are outstanding items in the draft resolution that may require further attorney discussion; acknowledging the extension preserves both parties’ time to negotiate without pressing the board for an immediate vote. The Planning Commission previously reviewed aspects of the proposal and noted related municipal boundary questions involving neighboring Lower Frederick Township, which the board asked the solicitors to explore separately.
The board did not vote on Resolution 2025-11 during the March 4 meeting; the new decision deadline is April 5, 2025, and the matter is expected to return to the April 1 agenda for further consideration and potential action.
