Perkiomen engineers to advertise 2025 Burgess Road project; Board authorizes pavement‑marking quotes at Meyers/ Township Line

Township Engineer Nicholas Szeredai told supervisors at the Dec. 3 meeting he plans to place the township’s 2025 road project, which includes work on Burgess Road, on PennBid in February 2025. The Board authorized advertising the project, voting 4‑0 in favor.
Szeredai also updated the Board on a circulation issue at the signalized intersection of Township Line Road and Meyers Road. After consulting with PennDOT, the department issued a modified Traffic Signal Permit allowing adjusted pavement markings; Szeredai asked for authorization for himself and Road Master Shawn Motsavage to obtain quotes to install the approved markings. The Board approved obtaining quotes by unanimous vote.
The modified Traffic Signal Permit is valid for one year, Szeredai said. The work is intended to improve left‑turn circulation and reduce potential conflicts caused by vehicles making wide left turns on Meyers Road.
