Szeredai also updated the board on related mitigation work: township road crew personnel removed most of the bamboo at 10 Skippack Pike and applied a commercially available bamboo herbicide to suppress regrowth; the township's small-branch disposal vendor agreed to take the cut bamboo.
Board action: Dean Becker moved and Albert Campion seconded to award the 574 Gravel Pike demolition contract to Davidheiser Construction Services for $159,500 and authorize the township manager to sign the contract subject to solicitor review; the motion passed 5-0. The Board separately approved Earth Engineering's geotechnical quote and authorized acceptance of the optional third day if required, within the quoted not-to-exceed amount.
What happens next: the township manager and solicitor will finalize contract documents and schedule demolition and geotechnical work; the engineer and road crew will monitor bamboo-treatment results at 10 Skippack Pike.
