Board approves revised workers’ compensation provider panel and personnel manual changes

The board approved a revised workers’ compensation designated-provider panel recommended by AmTrust North America and adopted Resolution 2024-18, which clarifies insurance sections and allows redemption of up to five unused vacation days at year end.
Township Manager Cecile Daniel presented recommended updates to the township’s workers’ compensation provider panel and changes to the Personnel Manual at the Sept. 3 meeting.
AmTrust North America — the township’s workers’ compensation carrier for the township and fire company — reviewed the township’s doctor panel and submitted revisions. Daniel and Road Master Shawn Motsavage reviewed the recommended panel and Daniel recommended board approval. Dean Becker moved and Gary Filzen seconded approval of the revised designated health-care provider panel; the motion carried 4-0.
Daniel also proposed minor clarifications to the Life Insurance and Major Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Insurance sections and a revision to the Vacation section to allow redemption of up to five unused vacation days at the end of the benefit year. Those changes were codified in Resolution 2024-18, which the board approved by a 4-0 vote.
The board took no additional personnel actions at the Sept. 3 meeting.
