The Perkiomen Township Board of Supervisors on Sept. 3 set a public hearing for Wednesday, Sept. 25, to consider a conditional-use application from Artisan Land Company for development of the Landis Tract in Perkiomen Township.
Solicitor Kenneth Picardi told the board that the applicant seeks approval for a cluster development under the township’s Open Space Residential (OSR) Overlay District and will present its case at the hearing. The board did not take action on the application at the Sept. 3 meeting but scheduled the required public hearing so residents and reviewers can comment.
The hearing will provide an opportunity for neighbors and the township to review site plans, proposed open-space allocations and any requested waivers tied to the OSR provisions. The Solicitor’s office and township staff will be on the record to explain the applicable procedural and substantive requirements under the OSR overlay, Picardi said.
No permitting determinations were made on Sept. 3; the board’s scheduling vote simply set the hearing date and preserved the statutory notice and public-comment processes. The hearing is on the board’s calendar for Sept. 25, 2024.
