Perkiomen Township’s engineer told supervisors on April 1 that PennDOT requested a redesign of the stabilization approach for the hazard mitigation project at 574 Gravel Pike, asking for large‑rock stabilization in place of portions of the original proposal. Nicholas Szeredai said he resubmitted revised plans with additional information and, if comments persist, will seek a meeting with PennDOT; he warned the change could add three to four months to the project schedule.
Despite the potential delay, the contractor submitted Application for Payment No. 2, a partial release of the retained ten percent for work completed to date. Mr. Szeredai recommended approval, and the Board authorized payment of $7,100 to Davidheiser Construction Services (motion Albert Campion, second Adam Doyle; vote 4‑0).
Szeredai said the resubmission asks PennDOT to re‑review the plans with the added information; he will request a meeting if comments remain. The Board did not vote on any redesign itself and recorded no additional funding actions at the meeting.
