River Ridge CDD appoints Keith Merrill to vacant seat, adopts officers resolution

The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors unanimously appointed resident Keith Merrill to fill the vacant Seat 1 and adopted a resolution electing the board’s officers during its Oct. 22, 2024 regular meeting.
Board Chair Bob Schultz nominated Keith Merrill, and, on a motion by Schultz seconded by Robert Twombly, the appointment was approved "with all in favor." Mrs. Cleo Adams, a notary, administered the Oath of Office to Merrill immediately after the vote. Merrills’ term runs through November 2026.
At the same meeting the Board adopted Resolution 2025-01 to elect officers. Kurt Blumenthal nominated the slate: Bob Schultz as Chair, Terry Mountford as Vice Chair, Kurt Blumenthal and Robert Twombly as Assistant Secretaries, and Keith Merrill as an Assistant Secretary; the resolution removes James Gilman as an Assistant Secretary. The motion to adopt Resolution 2025-01 passed unanimously.
District staff and counsel provided newly sworn members with governance material and compliance requirements following the appointment. Mrs. Cleo Adams and District Counsel Tony Pires reviewed mandatory ethics training, filing requirements (Form 1 and Form 8B), the Sunshine Law and the Code of Ethics for public officers.
The Board scheduled administration of additional Oaths of Office and related filings at the November meeting and confirmed the November meeting date will be rescheduled to Nov. 19, 2024.
