Senior center nearing completion; committee approves minutes and adjourns

Mayor Larry Antoskiewicz told the Building & Building Codes Committee on May 20 that the senior center’s main contractor has completed construction and the city is waiting on remaining furniture shipments; he said staff are finishing a few tasks and he hopes the center will be ready within about a month.
The committee recorded two formal motions during the meeting. Chair John Nickell moved to approve the April 15, 2025 Building & Building Codes Committee minutes; Joanne Krejci seconded and the motion carried with a vote of Yeas: 3, Nays: 0. At the close of the agenda, Nickell moved to adjourn; Vice Chair Linda Barath seconded and the committee voted Yeas: 3, Nays: 0. The meeting adjourned at 6:57 p.m.
No further formal actions were taken on the senior center at this session; staff will update the committee as furniture and final punch-list items are completed.
