Ohio Civil Rights complaint by former wastewater superintendent dismissed, law director says

Law Director Tom Kelly told North Royalton City Council on June 3 that the Ohio Civil Rights Commission has dismissed the complaint filed by the city's former Wastewater Superintendent after an investigation found no probable cause to proceed.
"After investigation they found no probable cause to proceed. They have issued the 90‑day authorization as is customary for him to bring a lawsuit if he feels that he is interested in doing so," Kelly said. He added the city's outside counsel, Mr. McClandrich, does not expect a lawsuit but that a suit remains possible during the 90‑day period.
The council received the update as part of department head reports; no further action was taken at the meeting. The dismissal ends the commission's administrative inquiry but preserves the former superintendent's option to file a civil action within the 90‑day window.
