Mayor: city will apply for NOPEC reimbursements for sports-field electrical work

Antoskiewicz said the city committed to installing a new transformer for the soccer fields while the Soccer League agreed to handle light fixtures and related costs; he said the city would likely pay initially and the Soccer League would reimburse the city before the city seeks reimbursement from NOPEC—similar to how recent baseball field LED conversions were handled.
Antoskiewicz also said the city hopes Mr. Jordan will present the Albion and York Roads lighting project to NOPEC for possible coverage. The mayor characterized NOPEC grants as reimbursements rather than direct vendor payments.
