Davis County commissioners approved a contract with ClearGov to provide financial reporting services, county controller Scott Park said at the June 30 meeting.
Park told the commission the contract carries an annual cost of $21,000 with a one-time $29,000 implementation fee and a 3% annual price increase thereafter. He said the software will replace a largely manual reporting process and is expected to improve efficiency and the quality of the county's financial reports.
A commissioner moved to approve the contract, a second was voiced and the board approved it by voice vote. Park said staff will proceed with implementation under the terms discussed.
The contract is budgeted and presented as a recurring payable in the county's finance program; the first payment and implementation work will begin after formal execution of the agreement.
