At the Oct. 21 meeting the Rio Vista City Council moved and adopted amendments to Title 2 of the municipal code to establish commission meeting schedules by resolution and to require the roles of chair and vice chair to rotate annually on the recommendation of the council liaison.
Staff said the amendments formalize an earlier direction to move commission schedules to resolution so that changes can be made more efficiently in the future; the planning commission will be handled slightly differently by having the mayor recommend its liaison due to the commission's existing schedule practice.
The council voted in favor of the ordinance amendment and the item passed on the recorded vote of members present.
