Baltimore opens July 1 bid packages for footway reconstruction, building envelope testing and vehicle services

Procurement staff said the submissions will be reviewed by the agency and noted that one submission had redacted pricing that required staff to consult the original unredacted copy.
Two city projects for reconstruction of footways (TR260006 and TR260007) received multiple bids; among submissions named during the opening were J Villa Construction Inc., Santos Construction Company Inc., Priority Construction Corporation and others, with pricing read into the record for procurement recordkeeping. Procurement staff said formal results would be posted to the controller’s pages by close of business.
Procurement openings also included RFQ0000812 (vehicle and equipment upholstery repair services) and RFQ0000818 (OEM parts and service for Cummins engines); these were recorded as price sheets to be reviewed by the requesting agencies.
The controller’s office asked bidders to ensure copies and duplicates are properly marked and reminded vendors that pricing is not proprietary in public bid openings. Staff said full results and award recommendations will appear on the city’s procurement site when reviews are complete.
