Administration said most AP and elective classes will retain novel study, that SAVAS includes extended full texts (examples cited: The Tempest, Metamorphosis, The Crucible) and that unit‑level formative assessments will be used to track progress. On AI tools, staff said these features can be turned off and will be considered with teacher input.
The board approved the consent agenda, which included the SAVAS materials on display, and administration said it will schedule professional learning and monitor unit assessments across the year to evaluate implementation.
