Council members discussed operational choices — whether to reduce emptying frequency, how pickup intervals affect citizen use, and options to pay for the service via a $2 monthly fee or a small property tax mill. For 2026 the council settled on keeping dumpsters available through October or the first week of October at staff discretion and approved that schedule.
Council asked staff to include clearer public notice if schedules change, explore camera installation feasibility (infrastructure and wiring exist in some locations), and report budget implications during the quarterly review.
