Spring Grove's City Council approved changes Dec. 17 to Chapter 300 of the city code to allow licensed establishments to remain open until 2:00 a.m. with approval from the council and the state. The council also added a $50 permit fee for the new 2:00 a.m. allowance to Chapter 104 (Fees, License and Permits).
Council Member Trent Turner moved to approve the Chapter 300 changes allowing 2:00 a.m. openings; Council Member Karen Folstad seconded and the motion was recorded as approved. Council Member Mike Hagen moved to add a $50 2:00 a.m. permit fee to Chapter 104; the motion was seconded and recorded as approved.
Minutes show the council discussed the compliance period for ordinance violations elsewhere on the agenda but decided not to change the current 10-day deadline for responses to violation letters.
